Omaggio alla bellezza in Massa Lubrense

Category:Blog,Events,Excursions,Featured,Pro Loco Activities

From June to October in Massa Lubrense the program Omaggio alla bellezza is held, a project that involves the territory with multiple free events.

Concerts in nature, themed walks, tastings, yoga and pilates classes, activities for children and much more. Promoted by the Municipality of Massa Lubrense in collaboration with local associations, the exhibition offers those who live or spend a few days in Massa Lubrense the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful area with activities that enhance its culture, history and natural beauty.

Open-air musical events return to enchant us with the fifth edition of Natura in concerto: musical performances in places with a mythical charm.

The cycle of guided walking tours proposed by the Pro Loco Massa Lubrense is part of Omaggio alla bellezza: the Passeggiate d’estate are excursions with environmental guides, with tasting of local products in farms or agritourisms.

Alla ricerca della valle perduta nella Terra delle Sirene” is the title of the proposals of the Pro Loco Due Golfi and the Massa Lubrense branch of the Archeoclub: four itineraries inspired by the lives of Ignazio Chiaiese, Torquato Tasso, Norman Douglas, Teofilo and Gianbattista Folengo.

AGAT Massa Lubrense also offers a rich calendar of excursions in the area: “Alla scoperta dei borghi” emphasizes its historic centers, monuments and religious buildings.

The program also includes activities organized by the Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area: open days to visit the park’s visitor center, canoe and snorkelling excursions to get to know our coast and sea.

For the little ones, the much appreciated Merende itineranti continue: walks for children with outdoor theater, workshops and organic snacks. There is no shortage of amusing magic shows in the squares and playgrounds of Massa Lubrense.

Throughout the summer it is also possible to take part in yoga and pilates classes outdoors: the best way to seek your own well-being in the newfound connection with the environment that surrounds us.

Pilates at the Annunziata Castle

Category:Blog,Events,Excursions,Featured,Pro Loco Activities Tags :

Pilates at the castle is a cycle of 7 outdoor meetings, at sunset, designed to promote conscious breathing through fluid and coordinated movements.

The free pilates lessons are held by the physiotherapist Carla Marciano, in the splendid location of the Aragonese Castle of the Annunziata, one of the jewels of the municipal heritage of Massa Lubrense.

Info and reservations:

Pro Loco Massa Lubrense (9:30 – 13:00)

Exercising in the open area is the best way to feel good not only with yourself but also with the nature that surrounds us.

Outdoors, it is easier to put aside any negative thoughts, concentrating completely on movement and breathing, with great health benefits: the body acquires elasticity, fluidity and physical tonicity, while the mind better counteracts states of anxiety and stress.

Pilates is suitable for both those who simply need movement and those who have particular pathologies. In these basic lessons, suitable for everyone, the goal is to learn to know and listen to your body, with the use of breathing and simple exercises.

Organized by the Pro Loco Massa Lubrense, with the patronage and contribution of the Municipality of Massa Lubrense – Tourism Department. It is part of the “Omaggio alla bellezza” program.

Category:Blog,Events,Featured,Pro Loco Activities Tags :

On July 6th, 2018 the Aragonese Castle of Annunziata, one of the jewels of the municipal heritage of Massa Lubrense, reopens to the public.

The Pro Loco Massa Lubrense – in collaboration with the Arciconfraternita SS. Rosario dell’Annunziata and the I. P. San Paolo – takes care of the opening.

“I am extremely happy and satisfied to be able to open a fundamental piece of the history of Massa Lubrense – says President Teresa Pappalardo. – My personal thanks go first and foremost to the Arciconfraternita, which enthusiastically adhered to the idea and with which a deep and fruitful collaboration is born, to make the place usable and welcoming. I’m thankful to the City of Massa Lubrense, which promptly responded to our request, and to the High School San Paolo with whom we have a school-work protocol that has led the student Francesco La Via to take care of the openings to the public. With the collaboration of the historian Gennaro Galano we are preparing a new brochure about the place, which we are currently translating into English to allow visitors to deepen the site, and we are drafting a series of events that will enrich the summer events season of Massa Lubrense.”

Autumn in Massa Lubrense

Category:Blog

Autumn is one of the best times to visit Massa Lubrense: the weather is still warm, the crowds are few and the prices are lower.

Massa Lubrense is chosen as a holiday destination all year round, with temperatures ranging from 10°C (50°F) to about 30° C (85°F). In autumn, temperatures are mild, making it even more pleasant to visit this area.

The largest number of visitors is registered in the summer months, so it is highly recommended to book at least two months in advance if you intend to spend your summer holidays here.

In less demanded months such as October and November, prices tend to drop, the weather is cooler and there are fewer tourists. Sunny days are the majority and the sea is still warm for swimming. Autumn travelers can experience an all-round vacation in Massa Lubrense with less traffic, good weather and fun cultural events.

Massa Lubrense in October

Average temperature: 22°C (71°F)

Average sea temperature: 23°C (73°F)

Temperatures are mild in October. The weather is perfect for exploring the historical and archaeological sites, visiting the towns and, of course, walking among the breathtaking natural beauties of Massa Lubrense.

The sea temperature is still warm in October, it is almost always sunny and the beaches are not crowded at all. The businesses are all still open despite the lower turnout and, of course, great deals can be found this season.

Massa Lubrense in November

Average temperature: 18°C (64°F)

Average sea temperature: 20°C (68°F)

As winter approaches, temperatures begin to drop in November, but the climate remains mild. Massa Lubrense is still a pleasant tourist destination, but with some rain.

The month of November is perfect for visiting museums and archaeological sites, such as Pompeii and Herculaneum. Walking along the paths of Massa Lubrense is more pleasant with the cool and clear air allowing you to better appreciate the postcard views.

Prices are significantly lower in November, allowing you to spend less and maybe do more! Some businesses are closed, however, the absence of crowds and the reduced traffic make the streets and squares quieter, where you can savor the authenticity of life in Massa Lubrense.
