Family beaches in Massa Lubrense

In particular, the two main ones are Marina del Cantone and Marina di Puolo, both easily reachable by car and equipped with parking. These family beaches are the most popular because they are the perfect destination for those traveling with children.
Marina del Cantone
Marina del Cantone is one of the largest beaches on the peninsula and overlooks the Gulf of Salerno. It is characterized by its clear water and white pebbles, which attract children and emphasize their desire to play.
It is ideal for families who want to enjoy a relaxing day and a nice beach bath with their children, since the water is shallow if you do not go too far from the shore. Children can enjoy snorkeling among the rocks, where you can admire the largest number of fish.
In Marina del Cantone, you can also rent pedal boats and canoes, to be used independently to explore the bay or choose from the different kayak excursions proposed.
The beach has free access in some areas with the possibility of renting umbrellas, sun beds and deck chairs, or you can opt for one of the different bathing establishments present.
You can also get to Marina del Cantone by bus, starting from Sorrento, Massa or Sant’Agata sui due golfi.
Marina di Puolo
The seaside village of Puolo is located halfway between Sorrento and Massa Lubrense and marks the beginning of the Lubrense coast.
Also here we find a pebble beach with several bathing establishments and in addition a free beach with volcanic sand, known as “spiaggia del fico”. Also in Puolo you can rent pedal boats and canoes.
Marina di Puolo is in many ways similar to Marina del Cantone, but is distinguished by the striking view of Vesuvius.
Buses do not reach the beach, but there is a stop on Via Capo at the beginning of the descent to Marina di Puolo. The stretch to walk is about 800 meters, quite tiring uphill.
Both beaches are perfect for both children and adults, thanks to the presence of bars and restaurants where you can taste the delicacies of local cuisine, especially the sea food.
The beauty of these family beaches means that the crowding is very high in July and August and on summer weekends. If possible, we recommend visiting them at the beginning of the week or in June and September, when they are definitely less crowded.
