Limoni in Festa 2025: walks, tastings, and shows to celebrate the king of the coast

Massa Lubrense is getting ready to host Limoni in Festa 2025, the historic festival that pays tribute to the area’s most iconic gastronomic symbol: the lemon. Organized, as every year, by the Pro Loco Massa Lubrense with the support and sponsorship of the local municipality, the event reaches its 49th edition and will enliven the charming town center from Friday, July 11 to Sunday, July 13.

2025 program

The festival kicks off on Friday, July 11 with a morning walk at 9:30 AM, organized by the Massa Lubrense branch of the Archeoclub d’Italia: an itinerary through nature, history, and spirituality, surrounded by the scents of local lemon groves.

At 11:00 AM, in the gardens of the agritourism farm “Il Convento”, the seminar “Treasures of the Mediterranean: Olive Oil and Lemons between Quality and Sustainability” will take place, curated by GAL Terra Protetta scarl.

In the afternoon, starting at 6:30 PM, it’s time for fun dedicated to children with “The Secret Treasure of the Lemon”, an interactive treasure hunt organized by Barattoli Cosmici, which will bring the gardens of Largo Vescovado to life.

On Saturday, July 12, starting at 6:30 PM, the stands featuring local products and traditional crafts will open. From 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the streets of the town center will host a tasting trail — a journey through the flavors of tradition, with a lemon-themed menu to sample along the streets and squares.

At 9:00 PM, the stage in Largo Vescovado will come alive with a performance by Gino Rivieccio, who will present his show “Fifty Fifty”, an evening of Neapolitan-style humor and wit.

On Sunday, July 13, the food stands and tasting trail will return with the same schedule. Closing the festival at 9:00 PM will be the musical performance “Cantata Popolare – Between Dances, Music, and Colors of Tradition”, featuring Biagio De Prisco, TrioTarantae, and the Carlo Faiello Ensemble — an evening celebrating the popular roots of Southern Italy through rhythm and poetry.
